QUEBEC SKILLED WORKER PROGRAM

The Quebec immigration selection system for Quebec Skilled Workers is designed to identify immigration candidates who are most likely to become economically established in the Quebec province. Skilled Worker applicants who intend to reside in Montreal or in another city or region within the province of Quebec are assessed under a different system than applicants who wish to settle elsewhere in Canada. EXPRESS ENTRY FEDERAL SKILLED TRADES (FST)

Since 2013, the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) has offered an immigration pathway to global talent with skilled trades backgrounds. The program allows qualified tradespersons from around the world to immigrate to Canada permanently. Prior to 2015, Federal Skilled Trades applications were managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Since 2015, however, applications are processed under the Express Entry immigration selection system. CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS (CEC)

The Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program in 2008 to offer a dedicated skilled worker pathway to temporary foreign workers and international students who want to obtain permanent residence status.
